Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Technical Lead – .NET to lead the design, development and delivery of secure, scalable and enterprise-grade software solutions.

The successful candidate must have at least 10 years of professional software development experience, including strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs and modern .NET technologies, plus enough familiarity with Angular to support architectural decisions, review frontend-to-backend integration and coordinate with Angular developers. This is an on-site position based in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the technical design, development and implementation of enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and day-to-day guidance to the development team, while remaining hands-on.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs, backend services, microservices and distributed applications.
- Translate business requirements into secure, scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns and architectural guidelines; conduct code reviews.
- Guide the team in troubleshooting complex application, integration, performance and production issues.
- Support secure coding reviews, vulnerability remediation and compliance activities.
- Ensure unit testing, integration testing, technical documentation and knowledge transfer.

Required Experience

- Minimum 10 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 8 years hands-on with C# and .NET technologies.
- Minimum 3 years as a Technical Lead or in an equivalent technical leadership role.
- Experience delivering medium- to large-scale enterprise applications in production environments with high security, availability and performance requirements.

Mandatory Technical Skills

C# and object-oriented programming; modern .NET (preferably .NET 8 or later); ASP.NET Core and Web API; Entity Framework Core or Dapper; RESTful API design, versioning and error handling; SQL Server, relational design, stored procedures and query optimization; SOLID principles and dependency injection; microservices and distributed systems; JWT, OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect; HTTPS and TLS; unit testing with xUnit, NUnit or MSTest; Git-based source control; CI/CD with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions; IIS, Windows Services, containers or cloud hosting; structured logging, monitoring and production troubleshooting; secure coding practices and secrets management.

Preferred

Azure or AWS; Docker and Kubernetes; RabbitMQ, Kafka or IBM MQ; SignalR; Redis; SonarQube; API gateways and load balancers; Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design; observability and distributed tracing; Agile or Scrum; banking, fintech or payment-systems experience.

Education: bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience and certifications may also be considered.
